Dubai, UAE: What better than a warm bowl of brothy ramen on a cold January evening to provide comfort? As the temperature drops, YUBI Handroll Bar at One Central has updated its menu to include a range of warm, comfort-focused dishes that cater to this seasonal shift.

Founded by the multi-award-winning Chef Reif Othman, the venue is known as the first homegrown handroll bar in the UAE, operating from a Japanese street-inspired setting. This latest update introduces new categories designed to add depth to the existing selection, focusing on simple, honest dishes and fresh ingredients.

“This winter-inspired menu brings more warmth and depth to what we do at YUBI, while staying true to clean flavours and quality ingredients,” says Chef Reif Othman. The expansion marks a shift in the brand's evolution, moving beyond its signature handrolls to offer a more comprehensive dining experience for residents looking for hearty lunch or dinner options within the Dubai World Trade Centre district.

The update introduces "The Basics," a section that places seafood front and centre to celebrate precise preparation. This category includes options like buttery Hamachi and classic Sake handrolls, where the purity of the fish is the primary focus. For guests seeking a more decadent meal, there is an option to add caviar to these selections. A significant addition to the menu is "Owan’s," a bowl-focused category designed for those seeking richer textures and comforting portions. Standout dishes in this section include the Otoro and Caviar Bowl, the Japanese Wagyu and Caviar Bowl, and a mixed Sake, Hamachi, Akami, and Ikura Bowl. These bowls are prepared with the same attention to detail that defined the original handroll menu, providing a more substantial alternative for midday dining or evening meals.

To complement the cold selections, YUBI has expanded its range of hot dishes, focusing on Japanese comfort classics. New arrivals include Chicken and Foie Gras Gyoza, Wagyu Mazemen, and Tori Ramen, which are specifically suited for the current season.

These additions build on the existing warm offerings, providing guests with a variety of textures and temperatures throughout their meal. To maintain balance across the menu, lighter updates have also been integrated, such as the Kaiso Salad featuring green apple and walnut.

While the menu evolves, the signature handrolls and fan-favourite dishes remain available. Located at Offices 5, One Central, the restaurant is open until 12:00 am on weekdays and 1:00 am on weekends.
