DUBAI, UAE: COYA Dubai, the acclaimed Peruvian restaurant housed at the Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah Beach Road, has transformed into an ethereal gallery. The restaurant is currently hosting ‘Whispers of Memory,’ a compelling new showcase by the Emirati artist Marwa Hashim.
The showcase is on till the end of the year, and visitors can explore the artworks while enjoying COYA’s award-winning Peruvian cuisine.
The restaurant is recognised by both the Michelin Guide 2025 and MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants.
Where Nostalgia Meets the Peruvian Spirit
The installation is a poetic exploration of memory, time, and nostalgia. Marwa Hashim’s unique practice re-envisions ordinary, overlooked objects, including mirrors, clocks, typewriters, and books, turning them into silent, artistic keepers of forgotten stories.

“Whispers of Memory is about finding beauty in overlooked objects,” says Marwa Hashim. “Each piece carries fragments of time and hidden voices that invite us to pause and reflect.”
The exhibition’s theme aligns perfectly with the playful, yet mysterious, spirit of Halloween. The atmosphere inside COYA is intentionally poetic and dreamlike, enriched by whimsical details that evoke a faded carnival or forgotten circus. Shadows, illusions, old tickets, and vintage carnival-esque masks and mirrors enrich the experience, inviting visitors to step into a secret archive where each artwork whispers memories from lives once lived.
A Pillar of Art and Culture
The collaboration underscores COYA’s long-standing global commitment to art as a central pillar of its identity. For COYA Dubai, ‘Whispers of Memory’ continues its mission to highlight local and regional talent, following previous successful partnerships with Marwa Hashim, including the ‘Lace & Line’ showcase earlier this year.

“Marwa’s work resonates with our community,” added Yannis Stanisière, Chief Operating Officer of COYA. “This showcase embodies COYA’s spirit this season, offering an experience that connects the playful eeriness of Halloween with the essence of COYA.”
