Dubai Airport Surprise: LEGOLAND Delivers Eid Gifts on Baggage Carousel

Dubai, UAE: Families arriving at Dubai International Airport (DXB) for Eid Al Adha received an unexpected treat this year, straight from the baggage carousel. On Sunday, June 8, 2025, LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort teamed up with Dubai Customs and Dubai Airport to create a truly memorable welcome for travellers at Terminal 3.

As passengers waited for their luggage, children watched with amazement as LEGOLAND gift bags appeared on the baggage belt, each one specifically labelled with a child’s name. LEGOLAND Boy and Girl costume characters greeted the surprised families, handing out the gift bags. These thoughtful presents contained exciting LEGO® sets, soft plush toys, and complimentary tickets to either LEGOLAND Dubai Theme Park or Water Park, valid until December 3, 2025.

Spreading Joy and Enhancing Travel

Tim Harrison-Jones, General Manager, LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort, shared his thoughts on the special event. “At LEGOLAND Dubai Resort, we create unforgettable moments for families. This Eid, we brought extra magic right to Dubai Airport. Seeing the surprise and delight on the children’s faces was heartwarming, and we are grateful to our partners at Dubai Customs and Dubai Airport for helping us make this vision come to life,” he stated.

Khalid Ahmed, Director of Passenger Operations at Dubai Customs, expressed his delight in participating in the initiative. He noted its success in bringing joy to children and their families arriving for Eid Al Adha. Ahmed emphasized that “Dubai Customs enhances the travel experience and contributes to Dubai’s vision of becoming the world’s tourism capital.” He added that the initiative left a positive impression on travellers, who appreciated Dubai’s efficient procedures and the pleasant surprises that make their visits memorable and encourage return trips. Dubai Customs continually works to ensure smooth passenger movement, particularly during peak times like holidays and major events.

The initiative brought widespread smiles, laughter, and heartfelt reactions from families who expressed their happiness at receiving such a warm and generous welcome to the UAE during the Eid holiday.
