Dubai, UAE: Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk celebrated its fifth anniversary with a one-night-only La Nuit experience. The collaboration that took place on 29 October united two acclaimed chefs: Michellin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud of Brasserie Boulud and Chef Schilo Van Coevorden of the Asian gem, Taiko Cuisine & Bar. 

The evening was designed to be as exquisite as it was unforgettable.

The six-course meal was designed as a journey between East and West, with both chefs presenting three courses each.

Menu Highlights:
The lunch started at Taiko, where Chef Schilo presented an inventive take on contemporary Asian cuisine:
● Black Garlic Hummus with pine nuts, shiitake crackers and Hokkaido milk bread
● Osetra Caviar with pea flower dashi, silken tofu and hazelnut
● Maguro Al Oud featuring Balfegó tuna and otoro sashimi with Azumino wasabi and oud essence

The experience continued at Brasserie Boulud, where Chef Daniel Boulud presented his special creations for the night:
● Brioche Feuilletée
● Homard en Trois Façons, combining lobster ravioli, consommé and butter-poached lobster with gratin of claw
● Bœuf Wagyu aux Cinq Poivres, with Kiwami Wagyu, maitake mushrooms and Hibiki whiskey glaze
● Dessert courses included Fleur en Chocolat and a playful selection of Mignardises like matcha marshmallows and yuzu bonbons

The spectacular six-course menu, complemented by premium beverages, was thoughtfully crafted to reflect Sofitel’s philosophy of French zest infused with local flair. Featuring both traditional and reimagined dishes, each course became a dialogue of cultures—a celebration of culinary finesse and Dubai’s cosmopolitan spirit.
