Food Tech Innovation: Kerry and Expo City Dubai Partner for New Regional Co-Creation Centre

Dubai, UAE: Kerry has officially signed a long-term lease agreement with Expo City Dubai to establish its new Regional Customer Co-Creation Centre which will serve as a hub for research, and development.This milestone underscores Kerry’s commitment to driving sustainable nutrition and high-impact food technology within the UAE’s first Green Innovation District.

A Vision for Collaborative Innovation

The agreement was marked by a commitment to strengthening economic ties and advancing the global food ecosystem. Peter Dillane, President and CEO of Kerry APMEA, expressed gratitude to Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai Authority, for positioning the district as a platform for world-class innovation.

“Our partnership with Expo City Dubai marks an exciting milestone for Kerry,” stated Dillane. “Together, we share a common ambition to advance collaboration and innovation across the global food ecosystem, accelerating the delivery of high-quality, market-ready products with greater speed and efficiency.”

Building a Sustainable Food Ecosystem

Kerry’s new facility is designed to elevate customer collaboration and foster a world-class environment for Food & Beverage advancements. The center aims to: Connect the Industry: Link manufacturers, academic institutions, and government entities to foster a collaborative innovation network; Showcase Science-Baked Solutions: Provide an immersive environment for Kerry’s portfolio, including Taste, Proactive Health, Enzymes, and Food Protection; Tailor Solutions for the Middle East: Enable the co-creation of products specifically designed to meet the evolving needs of regional consumers.

Marjan Faraidooni, Chief of Education and Culture at Expo City Dubai, welcomed the addition: “Expo City is dedicated to hosting organizations actively engineering positive sustainable change. Kerry’s expertise in sustainable nutrition will be an important addition to our ecosystem as we work together to build a decarbonized and resilient future.”
