Dubai: This month, art, tradition, and luxury merged at One&Only The Palm, with acclaimed calligraphy artist Karim Jabbari’s captivating art installations around the ultra-luxury resort.
Karim Jabbari, recently recognised as one of the world’s Top 30 Public Artists, has crafted a breathtaking laser-cut wooden installation for the resort’s ZEST restaurant, the heart of its Iftar offerings. More than just a visual display, this installation is a poetic meditation, embodying the profound emotions of spirituality, peace, and reflection for the month of Ramadan.
Through the delicate interplay of light and shadow, Jabbari’s Arabic script evolves throughout the day, creating a dynamic visual narrative that mirrors the spiritual journey of the holy month.

But, the experience doesn’t stop there. Jabbari’s artistry will permeate the entire resort, with a grand canvas calligraphy rollout in the lobby and nine individual artworks strategically placed to immerse visitors in his vision. Guests will also have the rare opportunity to witness Jabbari’s creative process firsthand during live calligraphy performances, adding a layer of intimacy to this cultural celebration.
Jabbari, a Tunisian-born, Dubai-based artist, is a rising star in the regional art scene, having recently showcased his work at the 2024 SIKKA Art Festival and holding a concurrent solo exhibition.

His distinctive approach to Arabic calligraphy, blending tradition with modern techniques, has earned him acclaim at prestigious events like the First Islamic Biennale in Jeddah and the 2023 Dubai Calligraphy Biennale.
This collaboration between One&Only The Palm and ArtKōrero is a testament to the resort’s commitment to offering culturally significant experiences during Ramadan. It’s a celebration of art and tradition, a moment of reflection and connection.
