Arabian Travel Market 2025 Opens in Dubai with Record 2,800 Exhibitors from 166 Countries

Dubai, UAE: The 32nd edition of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) has commenced at the Dubai World Trade Centre, marked by a record-breaking 2,800 exhibitors from 166 countries. This significant participation underscores the robust growth and global importance of the travel and tourism sector, as highlighted at the event’s opening.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, officially inaugurated ATM 2025. This premier global event for the travel and tourism industry is taking place from April 28th to May 1st at the Dubai World Trade Centre.  

Dubai’s Pivotal Role in Global Tourism

Bringing together key professionals and leaders from leisure, business events (MICE), luxury, and corporate travel, this year’s ATM boasts an unprecedented 2,800 exhibitors representing 166 nations and anticipates welcoming 55,000 attendees.

During the opening ceremony, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed emphasised Dubai’s prominent position as a leading global hub for tourism, travel, and hospitality. He also highlighted the emirate’s increasing influence in shaping the future of the global tourism sector.

Guided by the vision of our leadership, Dubai continues to consolidate its position as a leading global destination for tourism and a key meeting point for industry stakeholders, bringing together investors, decision-makers, experts and leading travel agencies from around the world. The longstanding success of Arabian Travel Market highlights Dubai’s pivotal role in fostering strategic partnerships that drive the growth and advancement of the global tourism industry,” he said.

HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed also noted the vital role of the events and exhibitions sector as a driver of Dubai’s economic growth, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33’s objective to position Dubai among the world’s top three cities for business and specialised tourism by 2033.

Following the official inauguration, His Highness toured the exhibition halls, accompanied by His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority; and His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai.

Significant Growth in International Participation

A key highlight of the 32nd edition of ATM is the substantial increase in international exhibitor participation: a 20% rise from Asia, a 15% increase from the Middle East, over 12% growth from Europe, and continued expansion from Africa and the Americas.

Theme: Enhanced Connectivity for Tomorrow’s Tourism

ATM 2025 operates under the theme ‘Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity’. This theme underscores the critical role of cross-border collaboration, industry partnerships, and community engagement in shaping the future of tourism and promoting sustainable practices.

New Features at ATM 2025

Several new initiatives have debuted at ATM 2025:

  1. IBTM@ATM: A dedicated sector catering to the growing demand for business events, providing a platform for suppliers to connect with buyers through pre-scheduled appointments and a dedicated conference stage.

  2. ATM Travel Tech Expansion: Reflecting the increasing integration of technology in travel, ATM Travel Tech has expanded by more than 26% this year.

  3. Start-Up and Innovation Zone: Showcasing 21 pioneering companies reshaping the future of travel, including an immersive VR experience.

Expert Insights and Future Trends

HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum was also briefed on the renowned ATM Conference, featuring over 200 speakers leading more than 70 sessions across the Global Stage, Future Stage, and the new Business Events Stage. The conference program will explore emerging trends, share best practices, and discuss strategies to unlock new opportunities and address key industry challenges.

Topics covered include the future of aviation (with a keynote from Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths), emerging trends in hospitality, climate action initiatives, and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) – with an opening session by AI expert Cassie Kozyrkov.

The conference will also feature a Ministerial Session exploring tourism growth through enhanced connectivity and market insight sessions on Asia Pacific and India. The ATM Start-Up Competition will conclude the event.

ATM 2025 is a key component of Arabian Travel Week, a ten-day festival of travel and tourism events in Dubai.
