Dubai, UAE: Football fan foodies gather! Chef Raffaele Marongiu, known as Chef Raffo, who was also formerly a chef for Chelsea FC, is heading to Dubai for a special culinary collaboration. The chef, in partnership with Media One Hotel and Studio One Hotel, will bring flavours of Sardinia to two venues at the two hotels: Ciao Bella and Larte.
Born in Sardinia, chef Raffo’s passion for food began at home, inspired by the aroma of slow-cooked sauces that filled his family’s Sunday mornings. Now, he brings a philosophy rooted in tradition, ensuring every dish tells a story of Italian craftsmanship.
“I believe true cuisine starts from memory,” says Chef Raffo. “My goal is to take the honest flavours of Italian home cooking and reinterpret them through a contemporary lens, keeping the heart of tradition alive while embracing creativity and sustainability.”
Having worked with Novikov, Chelsea FC, Gaucho, and other esteemed venues, Chef Raffo’s journey spans Italy, England, America, and Switzerland. This November, his culinary excellence arrives in Dubai for unmissable events celebrating Italy’s rich regional diversity.
