Jebel Jais Announces Free Mountain Access and Reopening of Jais Sky Tour

Dubai, UAE: Jebel Jais has removed all entry permit requirements, granting visitors free, unrestricted vehicle access to the UAE’s highest peak. Travelers can now drive directly to the Hajar Mountains’ viewpoints and hiking trails without prior registration or entry fees.

Jebel Jais is now open to all visitors without entry permits or fees. Enjoy unrestricted access to the UAE's highest peak and hiking trails.

Mountain Dining and Reopenings

The mountain’s culinary landscape has seen the return of Red Rock BBQ, which is now officially open to the public requiring a confirmed reservation. The venue welcomes guests back to its relaxed, high-altitude setting with a full à la carte menu, offering a rustic dining alternative in the cooler mountain climate. Additionally, all existing viewpoints and public leisure areas remain fully operational, encouraging a “slow tourism” approach where visitors can engage with the natural landscape at their own pace.

Adventure Tourism: The Return of Jais Sky Tour

Furthering the adventure offerings at the peak, the Jais Sky Tour is scheduled to resume operations on 18 February 2026. This multi-zipline experience allows participants to navigate a series of platforms built into the mountain face, providing a unique aerial perspective of the dramatic rock formations. The tour will run on a fixed schedule where it operates from Wednesday to Sunday and Public Holidays on the following timings 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 2:00 PM.
