Emirati artist Azza Al Qubasai will open Art in Motion on 7 November with a workshop. This session is inspired by the symbolic Palm Eye, a reflection of unity and creativity. Participants will express themselves using natural materials such as sand, leaves, rope, and thread, adding their personal touch to individual palm pieces. Ultimately, each element will come together to form a collaborative installation that captures the spirit of co-creation.
Visionary photographer Marta Lamovsek leads the immersive portrait workshop Daughter of the Dunes on 8 November. Drawing inspiration from Emirati heritage and craftsmanship, participants engage in a transformative creative process guided by storytelling and intuitive direction. The session will culminate in a live projection of the completed portraits.
Renowned sand artist Nathaniel Alapide invites guests to help bring Sands of Time to life on 9 November. The sweeping composition blends tradition with modernity, featuring camels, desert dunes, and Dubai’s iconic skyline. Importantly, participants will join the creative process, contributing to a collective masterpiece under the artist’s guidance.
Mosaic designer and visual artist Rany Melad leads The Silent Grace on 10 November. This collaborative workshop merges precision and artistry. Guests will assemble colourful pre-cut tiles into a laser-engraved wooden panel. The resulting large, handcrafted mural symbolises patience and unity in design.
Polish resin artist Aga Korycka guides participants through a sculptural workshop on 11 November, inspired by the UAE’s natural landscapes. Using materials like driftwood, shells, and resin falcons, guests take part in painting and gilding details that symbolise resilience and connection with nature.
Acclaimed Emirati painter Moosa Al Halyan leads a collaborative art experience focused on movement and expression on 12 November. Using his signature fluid line-drawing technique, he creates a dynamic horse composition. Simultaneously, participants experiment with colour and form to bring the composition to life.
Lebanese calligrapher Ghaleb Hawila will close the week with The Dirham on 13 November. Guests will contribute to a circular canvas engraved with the phrase “Unity is strength, through it nations are built and people prosper” in both Arabic and English. Thus, the week concludes with a powerful symbol of community.
